Message Engagement

Overview
A Message Engagement test is a validation experiment designed to test customer traction, conversion rates, and demand for a venture, product, or service. At Future Foundry, we use this approach to measure which messaging angles resonate most, ensuring our go-to-market strategy is built on data, not assumptions. Unlike surveys or interviews, this experiment measures real-world behaviour—do customers open, click, and respond, or do they ignore the message entirely?

Process
We create a structured email, SMS or DM sequence, testing different subject lines, messaging styles, and calls to action. Messages are sent to targeted customer segments, and engagement is tracked through open rates, click rates, and reply rates. By comparing which messages generate the most action, we identify winning messaging themes, pricing sensitivity, and objections that must be addressed before launch.

Requirements
This experiment requires a clean contact list, structured A/B testing, and analytics tracking. It works best when combined with landing pages or surveys to capture deeper customer insights.
